Canmore's Tower

Only the ruined base of Malcolm Canmore's tower remains, but it is the most popular place to see Pittencrieff Park's resident peacocks.

The Tower is first referred to in a document dating from the late 11th century, and is depicted on an ancient wax seal as being a tower of two storeys, with an attic. The tower is incorporated in Dunfermline's coat of arms.
